It is Midlands Family Medicine's philosophy to make every effort to work our patients into the schedule and to care for your patients when they need to be seen. All visits require a scheduled appointment. If you or one of your family members is ill, call us early in the day, if possible, so that we may easily work you in. IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY |
|
So that we may be properly prepared for your visit, please be very specific about your needs when making your appointment. Also, please let the appointment desk know how many family members you wish to have seen by a physician so that we can devote adequate time to care for your needs and address your concerns. Please make every effort to find alternative child care for your non-sick children so they are not unnecessarily exposed to potentially infectious illnesses while at the office. We do not over-schedule, but surgeries, emergencies, and deliveries of babies may cause your appointment to be delayed. If this happens we will try to notify you to give you the opportunity to reschedule, see another care provider, or wait until your care provider becomes available. We try hard to anticipate scheduling requirements, but because the health care profession is so unpredictable, we sometimes need to reschedule appointments. Please try to call two to four weeks ahead of time to schedule physical examinations for yourself or your children. Also, please be aware that many patients will schedule examinations and procedures during the last two months of the year because their insurance deductible requirements have been met and they would like their insurance company to pay for the services performed before the calendar year expires. You will want to try to schedule these types of visits sixty to ninety days before the end of the year. This is especially true with female examinations. It is very important that we are able to contact you in the event of an emergency or if we become aware of any abnormal test results with you or one of your family members. Please arrive ten to fifteen minutes before your appointment time to allow us time to check your current address, telephone number, insurance information, and to record any changes. If you are late and we have not heard from you, we may have to ask you to reschedule your appointment. If you are unable to keep an appointment, kindly give us twenty-four hours notice.
